Buffered VPN Review

When using additional privacy software, we recommend using an offshore VPN service provider. Since offshore borders are usually not recognized by other states, a VPN provider in this area will not face a problem with the law.

Still, if you don’t get all the services you need from a VPN provider, then privacy doesn’t really matter. Therefore, we will look at all the features from the offshore company Buffered VPN, and assess whether the provider can provide all the necessary services in order to receive the well-deserved “Excellent Service” label.

Suggested Countries, Servers, and Metrics

Let’s start this Buffered VPN review with such an important parameter. This is a relatively new player in the VPN market. BufferedVPN offers servers in 30+ locations around the world. The server coverage is good. However, continents such as South America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East lack servers. In addition to these disadvantages, North America and Europe have sufficient server coverage.

Of course, the company still has a very long way to go to keep up with its competitors. The number of servers deployed continues to grow. We can only watch the development of BufferedVPN.

So, as we already mentioned, the number of available servers leaves a lot to be desired. However, the servers offered should be sufficient for optimal speed.

Unblocking Netflix and iPlayer

Unfortunately, Buffered is not able to provide us with a Netflix geolocation bypass. The server was included in the list of blocked VPN companies. And so far, the company has no other way to get out of this situation.

On the other hand, there is full assurance that you will get a high-quality stream when using Buffered VPN for BBC iPlayer. The new version of the software works as expected for unblocking BBC iPlayer and we didn’t encounter any issue.

We are constantly testing services to unblock restricted sites. Unfortunately, Buffered VPN was unable to provide access to the US Netflix directory. Therefore, we do not recommend buying BufferedVPN if your VPN service intends to access streaming services.

Cost and Money Back Policy

The company offers 3 tariff plans: monthly, yearly, and biennial. The longer the payment period is extended, the less you pay. In other words, you will save 68% when choosing a two-year plan.

If you take into account the quality of service, the price is quite reasonable. However, the rates are slightly overpriced, unless the customer lives in North America. In addition, Buffered VPN started partnering with many payment gateways and now they accept credit cards, Paypal, and cryptocurrencies. Also, you can ask to return your money for the product. However, you can’t do it in the following cases:

  • If you used more than 10 GB of data.
  • If you exceeded 100 sessions.
  • If you stayed connected to VPN servers for more than 10 hours.

Unfortunately, this refund policy places BufferedVPN among the most restrictive VPN providers on the market.
